At PRISM Community Services Inc., our core values are safety, visibility, and belonging. We believe everyone in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community—no matter their background, age, or where they live—deserves a place to feel seen, heard, and supported. That means creating spaces free from judgment and harm, where people can express their identities and build genuine connections without fear.
We’re also deeply committed to community-building across generations, cultures, and lived experiences. Whether you’re out and proud or still finding your voice, we want you to know you’re not alone. We care about reaching rural folks, newcomers, trans individuals, and anyone who’s felt like they didn’t have a place to go. What matters to us is making Moose Jaw a safer, more welcoming place for everyone under the rainbow.
Weekly or biweekly small group gatherings offering emotional support, resource sharing, and safe conversation for queer and trans individuals of all ages.
Planning and organizing Moose Jaw’s Pride celebrations, including visibility campaigns, community-led workshops, and inclusive social events throughout the year.
Monthly connection events to help LGBTQ+ folks, newcomers, and allies make friends, reduce isolation, and build lasting community bonds in a safe environment.
A support initiative for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals moving to Moose Jaw or living in rural Saskatchewan, offering guidance, safety tips, and local connections.
Community-led sessions on mental health, navigating queer identity, allyship, healthy relationships, and intergenerational understanding, including both in-person and online formats.
From community gardening to mutual aid and meal prep, we’re organizing inclusive, hands-on opportunities for people to contribute, connect, and support one another.
We’re in the early stages of building PRISM Community Services Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Moose Jaw and surrounding areas. Our goal is to create safe spaces, offer peer support, organize inclusive events, and reconnect a community that’s felt fragmented for too long. With your support, we’re laying the foundation for a visible, empowered, and united queer presence on the prairies.
